Brad was born and raised in Kentucky, but has spent more of his life in South Carolina. Before joining the park in 2007, he held jobs in Tennessee, Hawaii, New York and Vermont. He enjoys birding, traveling, birding, running and birding. He spent 10 years at the park as the education coordinator and is excited to continue his love of connecting people to the cultural and natural beauty of Berkeley County as park director.

Adam Bedard
Education Coordinator
Growing up in Vermont, Adam has always loved the outdoors, which led to his decision to pursue his degree in wildlife biology from the University of Maine at Machias. After graduating in 2012, Adam was hired by the South Carolina Waterfowl Association as a waterfowl technician/camp counselor. It was then that he fell in love with the Lowcountry and his wife, Sarah Marie. Adam, previously an SCDNR conservation officer, realized his true passion was in education. So in 2017, he joined the park team where he enjoys passing on historical and environmental education to the next generation.
